Yesterday was a really big day. I don’t have the pictures to prove it yet but will post them maybe tomorrow. The camera is in the truck and I have the Tahoe. Anyway, My baby turned 1 year old yesterday and had a bang up birthday. He had lots of fun playing with new toys and walking around. My oldest son signed up for Kindergarten. He is super duper excited and is telling everyone he knows about it. Even the UPS guy who politely was excited for him also. I have been working on finishing the chicken dance table toppers. I think that I am finished now. I will just give my mother hers unfinished because she likes to embroidery and she can finish the little chicky legs. I also machine quilting a small throw and small flag wall hanging. Very Very Busy. I will post pics. soon.
Just had to share this picture. Two weeks ago we had a class to make Easter Bunnies.
Some faired better than other. The soft fur we used to make them made LOTS of teeny tiny pieces and they floated into space. Some of the space was our noses. Achooo!!!
The finished project was well worth the pain and suffering!
We used the White Rose Cuddle from Shannon Fabrics and the Wag around Wabbits pattern from Cotton Ginnys. Let me know if you are interested in making some.
I am currently working of the Chicken Dance Table Topper from the Fons and Porters lasest magazine. I will post photos soon.

Relay for Life
Some thought it would be nice to flock my yard with the flamingo. It is a fund raiser for the American Caner Society’s Relay for Life. We will relay next Friday night. Can’t wait!
I had a great comment in the store the other day. I can’t think of one reason why I should not get this piece of fabric. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any reason why?

I can
If you make a comment on my blog so that I know that somebody read it, I will give you 10% off your next purchase.
The Christmas Table Runners were a hit. I enjoyed seeing all of the varations of colors. It is amazing what changing a color can do for the apperance. I found this pattern in a magazine and changed it up for Valentines Day. I used pinks.

Love is in the Air
I have been in a pink mood lately. I will let you choose any color combinations that you want for this. All it takes is 5 fat quarters and 1 3/8 yard for the backing and center applique square/diamond. The class will be January 13th at 7 pm or January 16th at 1:00 pm. The cost will be $15.00 plus supplies. Let me know if you are interested. Would be happy to have to come and learn in class and as always laugh a lot.
Well we made it through Christmas!!! I think that my boys got every kind of remote controll toy because I had to go and buy two $10 packs of batteries. I hope that they last for a while. I am busy at the shop getting together a block of the month program. As soon as Andrew takes a nap, I can finish cutting the April block and stitch it together to see if my fabric choices are good.
Check back for pictures and to sign up for the Block of the Month.
Sure to have loads of fun.
Last night was fun when we attempted to make paper Christmas ornaments. We all have moments of just sitting and humming. They are really awesome but a little difficult to accomplish. For some funny reason today I am thinking about making another one. It only took me two hours to make the first one.
Try one!

This was really cool. I helped Sarah pick out material to try to make a table runner. She picked a pinwheel pattern and really liked the black and white fabrics that had just came in. I helped her figure out how much was needed and what kind of design she could do, but didn’t really have the vision. She called two days later and was having trouble with her machine and she brought it and we figured it out and I sent her back home to sew some more. Two days later she returned and this is was she brought. Check it out!
